About The Product

The Metropolitan Polycolour Notice Board has a shaped top and bottom profile and square cut vertical sides. Boards marked as 'portrait' have a long vertical square cut profile and short shaped horizontal profile. All boards can be hung in either the landscape or portrait position but this will effect which way the shaped profile runs. Polycolour is avialable in a wide range of vibrant colours and is fire rated to Class B.

About Polycolour Board

The new polycolour notice boards are made from 100% PET plastic which depending on the colour, contain up to 90% post-consumer material. Polycolour FR noticeboards are fire resistant to Class B fire rated by the ASTM E84 test. Polycolour boards are acoustically absorbent panels (Noise Reduction Coefficient of 0.8) with a felt like finish. Polycolour FR are also recyclable in the PET waste stream.

Fire Rated Notice Boards

European Standards Class B (Highest Rating)
Class B fire resistant notice boards have been designed and tested to meet the latest European fire regulations EN13501-1:2007+A1:2009 Class B. These notice boards are suitable to be mounted in corridors, stairways, lobbies, escape routes and dead end corridors. Please note the European Class B replaces the British Standard Class O

British Standards Class 1
Class 1 fire resistant notice boards have been designed and tested to meet British Standard BS476 Part 7, Class 1. The boards have a fire resistant material covering/surface and are suitable for offices and classrooms where the risk of fire is minimal. If there is any risk of fire whatsoever then Class B is advised.
